Before you need to even try to play the guitar songs, guarantee your guitar is correctly tuned. If your guitar isn’t correctly tuned before you play, the tune you try to play won’t sound right in any way. After you have listened to the track a number of times and followed along on the guitar tab, you should then pick up your own guitar. As the track is playing strum with the tune. Naturally, you do not want to play your guitar too loudly ; you would like to be in a position to still hear the track you try to mimic.

Finally, when you get the timing and the strumming style, start playing the tracks on your own, this time without the music. You just need to have the passion to learn.  You must also have a great deal of patience.  If you mess up a lot, don’t worry about it.  That’s natural.  If you keep making a mistake then put the guitar down for a while and go do something else then come back.  When you are frustrated, you are only going to keep making mistakes.
