When you retire to a sleepy greek island at the age of sixty five, the last thing you think is going to happen is that one of your life’s great passions is going to be re invigorated, but that’s exactly what happened to me.

For the first few months this is exactly how things panned out, but after that I got restless. I started to find new and interesting places to go, and that included exploring beyond the local bars at night.

I found this great little club that played old timer Greek music and I was hooked from the start! In my youth I had been a mean drummer, but I hadn’t picked up a pair of sticks in years. I was so taken in by the music I was hearing though, that I was soon chatting to the locals about playing in one of their bands.
