The Allen and Heath ZED 14 features 13 independent sources to the mix; 10 independent outputs; 4 aux sends; a USB send & return for PC or Mac recording, playback and effects; a unique dual stereo input capability; and high-quality monitoring facilities. The ZED14 features DuoPre microphone preamplifiers to all 6 line/mic mono channels. The two stage design of the DuoPre preamps offers superior headroom and maximum transparency through the combination of microphone preamp circuit and optimised line input circuit. In addition to the 6 mono channels the Allen and Heath ZED contains four stereo channels, each with a main stereo input on jack sockets, and with the ability to take additional stereo inputs from phono sockets or from the USB audio input, giving the mixer fantastic flexibility. The ZED14 features four aux sends with pre-fade to channels one and two and post-fade to channels three and four.
The ZED14 contains 99 diverse controls on the front panel to give the mixer great command over their sound. The layout of the controls is both user-friendly and clever. The ZED14 features a 3-band swept-mid EQ that gives you the flexibility to equalise individual instruments. The ZED14 features USB capability giving you access to any music production software you may have on your PC or Mac. The music creation and audio production software Sonar LE is also included with the ZED14.
